Cube saunas take more materials and labour to produce than a barrel sauna. As such, our barrel saunas cost roughly 25% less than our cube saunas.
Fulfillment for our barrel saunas is also approximately 20% less than our cube saunas.

Understanding Our Controller Options
Digital, front wall mounted controller. Allows user to manage sauna temperature and session time by manually pressing buttons on the controller
This controller is included as standard with your electric heater.
Note: This controller does NOT support lighting in the sauna
The Nootka Touchscreen is an elegant, daylight readable touch screen that expands the capabilities of your sauna.
Depending on the package you select, you can add remote functionality via the Nootka Sauna app and even under-seat sauna lighting.

Being a Canadian company, we’re used to frigid temperatures, several cm’s of rain and over 10 meters of snowfall every year.
Our saunas are specifically designed for these climates. We have customers in Northern BC, Yukon, Alberta and all across Canada that will attest to that.
Hand-crafted in Canada
All of our saunas are designed and manufactured in Canada. This gives us control over the cedar we select and allows us to continually improve our products.
Watch out for companies that might claim to be local but import sauna kits from overseas. Imported kits are fraught with quality issues from use of finger-jointed boards, poor design and cutting corners.
Depending on where you’re located in Canada, we offer unassembled delivery and in a lot of cases we also offer delivery with on-site assembly. To see the best fulfillment option for your area, enter your postal code above.
Note: For electric saunas, customers must hire their own electrician to connect the heater to power.
Our saunas are made of natural western red cedar which smells amazing and does a great job withstanding the elements.
To keep your sauna looking new and avoid it greying from UV exposure or getting watermarks, we strongly recommend the application of our sauna sealant kit.
Included in the Kit is
- 1x 2.5L OSMO 410 (for the exterior)
- 2x 750ml Sauna-safe sealant (for the Interior)
- 2x Large Brushes
**For customers going with our assembly service, please note that we do not offer application of sealant.
Our cube saunas heat up to 90°C (194F) in just 30-40 minutes. If you're looking for an even faster heat-up, our barrel saunas take only 10-15 minutes to get to 90°C (194F).
Some Things You Might Be Wondering...
The two-tiered bench layout in the cube sauna makes the floorspace too tight for a wood-burning stove. As such, we only offer our cube saunas with a 9kW Homecraft Revive heater.

We don’t currently make infrared saunas. The jury is still out on the health benefits associated with infrared saunas and we’ve been disappointed by the build quality and lifespan of most infrared panels on the market.
In addition, you don't feel a blast of heat immediately with infrared saunas, so outdoor infrared saunas don't make much sense in cold climates as you'll freeze before noticing any of the benefits of the sauna.
As such, we only fabricate electric and wood-fired saunas.
Depending on where the sauna is destined for, we have a variety of fulfillment options, ranging from pick-up, unassembled delivery and on-site assembly in some areas. Enter your address on checkout to see what fulfillment options we have available in your area.
We ship all our cube and barrel saunas as flat-packed kits that can be assembled on-site. The cube sauna takes approximately 1-2 days to fully assemble.
