Terms and Conditions
All Customers Must Accept the Following Terms and Conditions Before Placing an order.
These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern the purchase and use of the sauna by the customer (the “Customer”).
1. The Customer assumes all risk associated with the use of the sauna. In particular, the Customer assumes the risk of personal injury, illness, or death due to use of the sauna. The Customer further assumes the risk of property damage associated with the use of the sauna.
2. The Customer is responsible for ensuring that all applicable laws and regulations are met with respect to the use of the sauna. This includes, but is not limited to, obtaining any permits required by local, state, or federal authorities.
3. The Customer is responsible for properly installing and using the sauna according to the instructions provided with the sauna.
4. The Customer must use the sauna in accordance with all safety warnings and instructions.
5. The Customer is solely responsible for any and all damages to the sauna caused by misuse or negligence.
6. The Customer is solely responsible for any and all damages to persons or property caused by the sauna.
7. The Customer is solely responsible for any and all liabilities arising out of the use of the sauna.
8. If the Customer is purchasing a wood-burning sauna, the Customer is responsible for ensuring that this type of sauna is permissible in their jurisdiction.
9. The Customer is solely responsible for the proper disposal of any and all materials associated with the sauna, including any ashes or embers.
10. For electric saunas, a licensed electrician must be hired by the customer to connect the heater to power and to mount the heater before use.
Sales and Usage taxes
Nootka Saunas hereby informs its customers that, in accordance with current U.S. tax laws, we do not collect sales taxes in certain states. Consequently, customers residing in these states bear the responsibility of reporting and remitting any applicable use taxes directly to their respective state tax authorities.
Customers are advised to ensure compliance with their state's tax regulations to avoid potential penalties or fines. For clarity regarding your specific tax obligations, it is recommended that you consult with a tax professional or contact your state’s department of revenue.
Wood-burning Saunas
- Client Responsibility: Nootka Saunas is not responsible for the installation, operation, or maintenance of wood-fired saunas. It is the sole responsibility of the client to ensure compliance with all municipal guidelines, regulations, and codes pertaining to the installation and use of a wood stove.
- Municipal Guidelines: The client must obtain all necessary permits and approvals from local authorities for the installation and operation of a wood-fired sauna. Nootka Saunas will not be liable for any fines, penalties, or other consequences resulting from non-compliance with municipal guidelines.
- Professional Inspection: Nootka Saunas installers are not WETT (Wood Energy Technology Transfer) certified. Therefore, the client must hire a professional fireplace inspector to conduct any required inspections and approvals for the wood-fired sauna installation.
- Safety and Compliance: The client is responsible for ensuring that the wood-fired sauna is installed and operated safely and in accordance with all applicable safety standards and regulations. Nootka Saunas disclaims any liability for accidents, injuries, or damages resulting from the improper installation or use of a wood-fired sauna.
- Limitations of Liability: Nootka Saunas shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the wood-fired sauna. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of property, personal injury, or any other damages resulting from fire or other hazards associated with the use of a wood-fired sauna.
- Indemnification: The client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Nootka Saunas, its employees, agents, and subcontractors from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to the installation, use, or maintenance of the wood-fired sauna.

Payments and Deposits
Please note that all deposits and payments for orders are non-refundable. This policy helps cover the costs of materials, scheduling, and labor that begin as soon as your order is confirmed. We appreciate your understanding and commitment to the process, ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish.
