If your electrical panel is limited, the 8ft barrel can use a 7.5 kW heater on a 40A breaker. It takes 25–30 minutes to reach temperature, versus 10–15 minutes with the 9 kW (50A NON-GFCI Breaker).

An easy weekend build in {city}
Your sauna arrives crated, by appointment, with a clear manual and step-by-step videos. Two people and a relaxed weekend is all it takes. We're a call or email away the whole way.
We build it for you in {city}
You choose the spot and prep the base. Our crew delivers and builds your sauna on site, usually in five to six hours, and leaves it ready to heat.
Ships in 4–5 weeks
Securing your order gets your sauna into our production queue. Our team will be in close communication to ensure you're ready to receive your order. There is no issue delaying delivery if you discover you need a bit more time to get your site prepped. Your sauna won't just show up unannounced.

Yes, no problem. The site needs to be clear of snow on delivery day. If your electrical line is being buried, we recommend having your electrician trench the cable before the ground freezes.

Being a Canadian company, we’re used to frigid temperatures, several cm’s of rain and over 10 meters of snowfall every year.
Our saunas are specifically designed for these climates. We have customers in Northern BC, Yukon, Alberta and all across Canada that will attest to that.
Hand-crafted in Canada
All of our saunas are designed and manufactured in Canada. This gives us control over the cedar we select and allows us to continually improve our products.
Watch out for companies that might claim to be local but import sauna kits from overseas. Imported kits are fraught with quality issues from use of finger-jointed boards, poor design and cutting corners.

Nootka Factory Tour
Every Nootka sauna is made to order in the Pacific Northwest. There's no pre-built inventory: when you place your order, your sauna is built from start to finish for you. Lean manufacturing keeps the workshop efficient enough to keep production local.
Each sauna is handcrafted by Nootka's sauna craftspeople, with a custom CNC robot cutting parts to the same precise dimensions every time.

Some Things You Might Be Wondering...
The two-tiered bench layout in the cube sauna makes the floorspace too tight for a wood-burning stove. As such, we only offer our cube saunas with a 9 kW Nootka electric heater.

We don’t currently make infrared saunas. The jury is still out on the health benefits associated with infrared saunas and we’ve been disappointed by the build quality and lifespan of most infrared panels on the market.
In addition, you don't feel a blast of heat immediately with infrared saunas, so outdoor infrared saunas don't make much sense in cold climates as you'll freeze before noticing any of the benefits of the sauna.
As such, we only fabricate electric and wood-fired saunas.
Depending on where the sauna is destined for, we have a variety of fulfillment options, ranging from pick-up, unassembled delivery and on-site assembly in some areas. Enter your address on checkout to see what fulfillment options we have available in your area.
We ship all our cube and barrel saunas as flat-packed kits that can be assembled on-site. The cube sauna takes approximately 1-2 days to fully assemble.
